Project Introduction of "Transition and Development of Modern China Document Management"

      Documents are the historical records of the modern society and political institution and the development of document management relates largely to the completeness of a country’s history. Ever since the administrative institution was built, modernized document management system could be retrieved to the Revolution of 1911, gone through Nanjing Provisional Government, Beiyang Government, National Governmentm, Initial Times of Taiwan Restoration, District Under Martial Law and Lift the Martial Law, Enactment of Archives Act and the establishment of National Archives Administration.

Research fields in this project:

1. Discussion on the milestones of past document management and its influences to the succeeding generations.

2. Analysis and comparison on overseas document management systems and observation of the way China learnt from Western systems.

3. Integration of Chinese past systems and Western experiences on management, in order to develop modernized document management systems in the future.
