The opening ceremony was held by master Sian-Du and Professor Sie Shih-Wei. They indicated that this is the first time that Hua-yen College cooperates with Cheng-Chi University to hold this seminar. They wish that this is not only a start, but also a change that Chinese people can have the right of speech on Hua-yen researches, instead of the Japanese people.

The general discussion was held by teacher Lin Jhen-Guo, joining by teacher Chen Yi-Biao, Chen Ying-Shan and Yen Wei-Hung. All these teachers have pointed out the distinct point of this seminar. For example, the diversity of methods of researching, the way of analyzing, the difference between Buddhism and western philosophy, and so on.

The closing ceremony was again held by Professor Sie Shih-Wei. He denoted that this seminar was really just a beginning. He wishes that we can start a deep discussion from this well-organized seminar. What’s more, teacher Chen Yi-Biao wishes that there can be more youth studying in Hua-yen researches.
