On December 5, the executive group of the “Searching for Coordinates in History” Plan held a workshop at National Chia-Yi Girls’ Senior High School for high school history teachers. Feng-yuan Hsu, a research fellow at the Services Division of National Archives Administration, National Development Council, gave a splendid lecture: “When National Archives Meet History Education.” In his lecture, Hsu not only introduced the website “Archival Resources for Teaching” constructed by National Archives Administration and its newsletter Archives LOHAS but also taught teachers how to utilize these digital resources to design better teaching materials to help students acquaint with broader prior knowledge. This workshop received a positive feedback from all participants.
Two more workshops for high school students will be held respectively on December 14 and 15 at National Tou-Liu Senior High School and the Affiliated Senior High School of National Chi-Nan University. We look forwards to your participation.
